2010 Terms and Conditions for House League Registration

1.     NO Pay No Play A registration is not considered final and accepted until the registration fee is paid in full.

2.     There are TWO levels of fees. 

a.     The Standard fee expires March 31st. Payment in full must be made by this date to qualify for this level of Registration Fee.

b.    A Late fee commences April 1st and is in place to the end of Registration April 15^th.  Registration acceptance after April 1^st is on a first come first served basis until each level is filled.   After the 15th of April you may e-mail the office and request to be put on a waiting list.

3.     PLAYER REQUESTS:

    Historically the GBA has tried to meet the individual requests of players to be on the same team as their friends or to have a particular coach. We will try to accommodate these requests if not excessive in nature i.e. requesting 3 or 4 players to a specific team, but we reserve the right not to accept requests. Coaches will still be assured of having their child on their own team.

4.     REFUND POLICY:

    If for any reason you choose to withdraw your child from registration prior to the season commencement there will be a $25 processing fee subtracted from your refund. The GBA maintains a no refund policy as of May 1^st of each season.

5.     NSF CHEQUES:

    GBA will charge a $35 administration fee for NSF cheques. Additionally your child will be suspended from further play until the payment is made good. If a cheque is rejected prior to the season starting, the child is not considered registered until the cheque is made good. In addition the registrant loses their position in the registration order.

6. GAME NIGHTS:

Once the Town issues the permits for the fields we will be able to designate playing nights for the 2010 season.  Tentatively the playing nights will be;

a.    Blast Ball will play on Mondays.

b.    T-Ball/Squirt will play on Tuesdays.

c.    Rookie Ball will play on Mondays and Tuesdays.

d.    Mosquito will play on Mondays.

e. At the level of PeeWee, Bantam and Midget you may play any night, Monday through Friday and possibly Sunday night.   At these levels the teams play an interlocking schedule with numerous other communities and we are at the mercy of their diamond availability times as well as our own.

7. PARENTS / GUARDIANS are responsible to purchase and ensure that the player wears the appropriate protective gear (i.e. jock, jill & helmet), when participating in all athletic events.

8.     FOOTWEAR at all levels of House League play, athletic running shoes are acceptable. If the registrant chooses to wear baseball shoes metal cleats are not allowed until the level of Midget.

9. BASEBALL GLOVES for all players are the responsibility of the Parent / Guardian to supply. The one exception to this is a catcher’s mitt, which will be supplied by GBA, one to a team.
